Finland School MASSACRE >=[

On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, 10 students were shot and killed by Matti Juhani Saari aged 22 in Finland. A similar school massacre happened last year and killed 7 students, and this year it happened again. Is this indicating that gun control should be tightened in Finland? Obviously!

Did you know?
- Finland has the world's third highest gun ownership
- 56 guns per 100 people
- the law permits 15-year-olds to buy guns if they have parental consent

Scary facts. Why would they even allow 15-year-olds to own a gun? Just because Finland has a long tradition of hunting, doesn't mean that such young teenagers can own a gun because gun is not just a PSP or a NDS. Guns are not TOYS, and teenagers are just not mature enough to own something that can kill. Also, teenagers are very emotional sometimes, and if they can't control their anger, they can do something really stupid - pull that trigger and BANG! someone might just die within a second, because of that stupid thought. Moreover, teenagers are curious. Maybe they just want to try out their new 'toy' and not think about the consequences - that's DANGEROUS.

Therefore, I believe that gun control in Finland MUST be tightened as soon as possible. After last year's school massacre, the government did not tighten the law or anything and allowed another school massacre incident happen. And that took more innocent lives.
